EIU Student Charrell Barksdale talks about why she does not like Organic Chemistry!

Hey people, it’s me again! I was sitting and thinking about how time truly passes fast. We only have a few more weeks left in the semester and then its summer. I only have one more semester until I graduate. I honestly can’t believe it. It seems like just yesterday I was a new geeky freshman at EIU, and that I didn’t know a thing. Now I’m a cool and mature “know it all” senior. I will really miss this place. EIU is my home away from home. I wish everyone can have
the same great EIU experience as I did.

Since the semester is coming to a close, I have been taking it easy. I really want a 4.0 G.P.A, however it is easier said than done, but it isn’t impossible. I am still preparing and training for the US Air Force, so the EIU student recreation center is where you usually can find me. I love it there. The facility is beautiful. The equipment is always new and up to date plus it is clean.

Originally, I had plans to study aboard in the Caribbean this summer, but of course that has changed. Unfortunately, I will be attending summer school and taking my most dreaded course Organic Chemistry II. I have no idea why there is a part II, especially since part I was difficult enough. Besides that, I will be also taking the GRE for graduate school. To prepare I picked up some helpful books from EIU Booth Library, which seems to have everything. You are probably thinking that my summer is going to be a waste, but it isn’t. I am getting so much accomplished and when I am not studying I am definitely going to relax, enjoy the weather, travel, and have loads of fun.

I have a 7-10 page paper due Monday so I have to go. Academics first people! Thank you for reading it’s truly an honor that you do. Peace out until next time.
